John David Neubauer

John "David" Neubauer of Farmington, passed away at home on May 10, 2012 after a long battle with cancer at the age of 58. He was born August 3, 1953 in Desloge, Preceding him in death was his mother, Alice (Middleton) Neubauer and two brothers, Jim Neubauer and Robert "Poncho" Neubauer. David was a graduate of Central High School in 1971 and went on to attend Mineral Area College. "J.D." as his co-workers knew him, worked for 38 years for the St. Louis County Highway Department where he retired as a supervisor for the concrete replacement division. Survivors include his wife, Barbara (Light) Neubauer, his step-daughter, Shellie Pickering and husband, Shane of O'Fallon, MO; two grandchildren, Ryley and Grace Pickering; one sister, Mary Osborne of the state of Alabama; four brothers, Charles Neubauer of the state of California, Bernard and Richard Neubauer both of the state of Kansas and Dean "Russ" Neubauer of the state of Texas; and numerous nieces and nephews. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Memorial donations will be accepted in David's name to the American Cancer Society.
