John Corbin Huff

DOE RUN John Corbin Huff, of Doe Run, MO passed away on April 28, 2018 at Camelot Nursing Home at the age of 91. John was born on April 3, 1927 in St. Francois County to the late Everett Huff Sr. and Mable (Sutton) Huff.

John proudly served his country with the 381st Army Military Police Battalion during WWII stationed in Nazi Germany. Upon return John began a 50 plus year career running his own business as a painting contractor. John was an avid fisherman and hunter. He was a member of VFW Post 5896 of Farmington. He married Edith (Starnes) Huff on September 21, 1947 who survives. For the next 70 years, their number one pastime was attending basketball, volleyball, football and baseball games. They were known area wide and made many special friends at almost every school. They are members of the Church of God in Farmington.

John was also preceded in death by one son, Jerry Huff, three sisters, Glenda Lewis, Muriel Barton and Gladys Mason, two brothers, Eugene Huff and Everett Huff Jr., a daughter in law, Debbie Huff. Along with his wife, he is survived by one son, Terry Huff, two granddaughters, Stephanie (Kurt) Anliker and Kym (Mark) Siegfried, four great grandchildren, Cameron, Sophia, Oliver and Kennedy and one sister, Jewell Lutz.

Friends may call on Friday, May 4 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will resume at 8 a.m. on Saturday morning until time of service at 10 a.m. at New Heights Church, 4982 Flat River Road, Farmington.
