Joe Stocker

FARMINGTON Joe Stocker, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on August 3, 2021, at his residence at the age of 83. He was born on August 6, 1937, in Ste. Genevieve County to the late Chester "Chet" Charles and Lucille "Gerry" Geraldine (Perkins) Stocker. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Carolyn (Counts) Stocker. Joe is survived by his daughter, Renee (and husband Dean) Boeckmann of Farmington, his grandchildren, Hannah, Joseph and Kaitlyn Boeckmann, his brothers, Dale Stocker of Eureka and Don Stocker of Bedford, TX, his brothers and sisters in law, Archie (and wife Roberta) Counts of St. Charles, Shirley (and husband Ronald) Dugal of Bonne Terre, Barbara Ward of Farmington, and Gary (and wife Ellen) Counts of Green River, Wyoming, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends Joe retired from the Farmington Post Office after 30 years of employment. He and his wife Carolyn were the former owners of Valle Feed Store in Farmington. Joe was a longtime member of the First Baptist Church of Farmington. He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, and yard work but most of all he loved spending time with his grandkids. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 3:00pm until time of service at 7:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Kevin Miller. Interment is private at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
