STE GENEVIEVE - Jimmy Ray Thomure of Ste. Genevieve passed away March 24, 2022 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 65. He was born in St. Louis, Missouri on July 27, 1956 to the late Raymond Voelker Thomure and Pearl Hazel (Barks) Thomure. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Violet Bruck and a brother, Lloyd Barks. Jimmy graduated in 1975 from Farmington High School and went on to attend Vo Tech School. Soon after school he went to work for a railroad car manufacturing company in St. Louis. He then worked in maintenance for Gilster Mary Lee at McBride where he worked until his retirement in 2021 after 33 years with the company. Fishing and Hunting were two of Jimmys favorite pastimes. He also liked living outside of town in the country. He had many friends and he loved getting together with his buddies to shoot the breeze. Most importantly, he loved spending time with his beloved granddaughter. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Michelle Ann (Montroy) Thomure; his daughter, Danielle (David) Vinson; his granddaughter, Charlotte Vinson; sisters and brother, Dorothy Graves, Shirley Bunch and Bobby Thomure; nieces, nephews, extended family and several close friends.
