May 1, 1939 — March 7, 2023

FARMINGTON Jimmy Wayne Botkin of Farmington passed away surrounded by his loving family on March 7, 2023 at Camelot Nursing and Rehab at the age of 83. He was born on May 1, 1939 in Centerville, Missouri to the late Jim B. Botkin and Lorene (Miller) Botkin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Carol Botkin, in 2019; his brothers, Euel, Bob, Lowell, Bernell and Gay; sisters, Eileen, Irene and Mary; and a granddaughter, Cindy Hanshew. Jimmy was a lifelong resident of Centerville and Farmington. Soon after high school he joined the Army where he proudly served his country for six years. He was born and raised into the lumber milling business. At a young age he moved the lumber mill from Centerville to Farmington until 1991 when he sold the business and semi-retired. Being a hard worker, he was always busy working, even in retirement. Some of his favorite pastimes were hunting, fishing, woodworking and shooting matches. His children will cherish the memory of the love and devotion he had for his family. Survivors include his children, Terry (Jim) Eatoch, Debra Morrison, Tracy (Robert) Moss and Doug (Heather) Botkin; seven grandchildren, Bobby Moss, Derek Moss, Sean Wiley, Jason Hall, Stephanie Leann, Braden Botkin, Brenna Botkin and six great grandchildren; a brother, Richard (Gloria) Botkin and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. A private celebration of life will be planned for a later date. Share your memories and condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
