Jimmie 'Jim' Ernest Gann Sr.

FARMINGTON Jimmie "Jim" Ernest Gann Sr., of Farmington, entered eternal rest on April 3, 2024, at his residence at the age of 86. He was born on May 1, 1937, in Parma, Arkansas, to the late John and Mary Anna (Smith) Gann. Jim is survived by his wife of 66 years, Janice (Boyd) Gann; his children, Janice "Punkin" (Timothy) Woods and Jimmie (Faith) Gann Jr; his grandchildren, Zach (Cindi) Weiss, Rick (Leah) Hannah, Jessica (Taylor) Matheny, and Jennifer (Dylan) Nicholson; his great grandchildren, Lilie, Caleb, Emma, Lola, Harper, Nora, Meritt, and Nayvie. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1956 - 1959. Jim worked as a plant manager at Mississippi Lime Company for 25 years. He was one of the founding members and coordinators of the Monday Night Band at the Farmington Senior Center. He was a member of the Open Bible Church in Farmington. He was a long-time member of the Saint Mary's Masonic Lodge. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, playing the guitar and harmonica, and spending time with family and friends. Jim will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, April 5, 2024, at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Saturday, April 6, 2024, from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. with Pastor Donna Cooper and Pastor Don Estes officiating. Interment to follow at Mayberry Cemetery with full military honors.
