Jessie May Cash

February 27, 1925 — November 19, 2011

Jessie May Cash of Farmington passed away on Saturday, November 19, 2011 at the age of 86 years. She was born on February 27, 1925, at Esther, daughter of the late John Wesley and Maggie Doritha (Oden) Winch. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband, William A. Barron, her second husband, Jack Cash, a daughter, Mary Lee Queen, a granddaughter, Tina Watson, four brothers and three sisters. Jessie grew up in the Coffman community and later moved to Bonne Terre before coming to Farmington. She was a long time, faithful member of First Free Will Baptist Church. She was also a member of the Pythian Sisters Chapter in Farmington. In addition to raising three daughters, Jessie worked as a factory worker and later a housekeeper for Mineral Area Hospital. In her spare time she enjoyed oil painting and crafts. She will be remembered for having Barron's Hitching Post which was a craft store where she taught painting classes. She also enjoyed traveling around the United States with friends and family. Survivors include her two daughters, Janet (Mrs. Robert) Williams and Karon Bell all of Farmington; eleven grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and twelve great-great grandchildren; two sisters-in-law, Rosemary Winch and Alma Winch and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22. Visitation will resume Wednesday from 7 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. at the Cozean Chapel & Crematory. Interment will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery in Farmington.
