Jessie Elizabeth Miller

Jessie Elizabeth Miller passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2012, at the age of 90. She was born on September 18, 1921, at Womack, daughter of the late John Cruse and Frances (Kearns) Cruse. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her first husband and the father of her children, Howard Harris; two previous spouses, Robert E. Parker and Jesse H. Miller; a son, Roger Glen Harris; and all of her brothers and sisters. "Betty" as most knew her, grew up in the Farmington area. She was a hardworker who raised four sons. She was a faithful member of the United Baptist Church on Perrine Rd. In her spare time she enjoyed traveling, dancing, and yard work. She loved spending time with her family and cooking dinner for them. Jessie is survived by three sons, Richard Harris and wife, Jewell, Raymond Harris and wife, Donna and Bradley Harris and wife, Brenda; her daughter-in-law, Marsha Harris; nine grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory from 5 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 31. Visitation will resume on Wednesday beginning at 7 a.m. until the time of the service at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
