Jesse Chamberlain Sr.

Jesse Chamberlain Sr. of Doe Run passed away Thursday, January 16, 2009, at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 93 years. He was born December 18, 1915, at Farmington, son of the late Henry and Mary Hurst Chamberlain. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by four brothers, Harold, Firman, Milton and Lester Chamberlain and two grandsons, Terry Joe and Brian Chamberlain. Before his retirement, he worked as an electrician for the Pilot Knob Pellet Company. He is survived by his loving wife of 65 years, Helen Ransom Chamberlain; four sons, Jerry and wife Jo of Delassus, Richard and wife Sue of Doe Run, Terry of the State of Florida and Jesse Jr. and wife Vickie of Arcadia; two daughters, Judith Tinsley and Nancy (Mrs. Gary) Lynn, both of Farmington; one brother, Bill Chamberlain of Arizona; and two sisters, Dorothy Kapeller and Elma Gierczuk of Florissant. Also surviving are 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends. Visitation and services will be private and memorials may be made to the Farmington Food Pantry.
