Jesse Amaro Castillo

FARMINGTON - Jesse Amaro Castillo of Farmington, passed away, Friday March 8, 2013 at Parkland Health Center at the age of 85 years. He was born August 24, 1927 in Corpus Christi, Texas one of 17 children born to the late Miguel and Celestina Castillo. Jesse came to St. Louis in 1947 where he met and married the love of his life, Lena Mae Courtway on January 21, 1950. Lena Mae preceded him in death on May 31, 1996. Jesse worked in the St. Joe Lead Mines for many years until retirement. Jesse and Lena had seven sons and five daughters, all of whom survive: J. Mitch (Elly) Castillo High Ridge, Jerry (Brenda) Castillo of Potosi, David (Leanna) Castillo of Imperial, Danny Castillo of San Jose, CA, Darrell (Doris) Castillo of Fenton, Donald (Toni) Castillo of Las Vegas, NV, Brian (Sara) Castillo of Afton, Nena Detring of Farmington, Elvina (Neal) Adams of Ste. Genevieve, Anita (Jim) Gooding of Roanoke, VA, Lydia Gonzales of Bakersfield, CA and Lisa L. Castillo of Missouri. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. at the Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 11, 2013. A Graveside service will be held at 1p.m. at the Saint Trinity Cemetery in Lemay, Mowith Father James Dyer officating. Visitation
