Jerra Renee Mell Scott

FARMINGTON – Jerra Renee (Mell) Scott, of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on September 8, 2024, at her mother’s home at the age of 48. Jerra was born on March 24, 1976, in Washington County, Missouri, the daughter of Mike and Sharon (Stacy) Mell.

Jerra is survived by her parents, Mike and Sharon Mell of Farmington, her children, Justin (Madison) Mell of Fredericktown and Rachelle (Justin Leggins) Mell of Fredericktown, her grandchildren, Jaxston Mell, Leah Mell, Adaleena Jablonowski, Scarlett Mell, and Noah Mell, her siblings, Jimmy Gary of McPherson, KS, Alice Kratky of St. Louis, Shaun (Betsy) Mell of Fredericktown and Stacy Mell of Fredericktown, her nieces, Lauryn Mell, Lydia (Jon) Barlow, and Jaycelynn Mell, aunts, uncles, cousins, along with many friends.

Jerra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Scott Jr., her grandparents, Ruby Bequette and Robert and Reba Mell, and her aunt and uncles, Cecil and Carol Bollinger and Eddie Stacy.

Jerra was a member and was baptized at Crossroads Church of God. She enjoyed crossword puzzles, dancing, karaoke, listening to Christian and old country music, coloring, and frequenting resale shops. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel. Visitation will resume on Friday, September 13, 2024, at 8:00 a.m. until time of service at 10:00 a.m. in the Cozean chapel officiated by Pastor Joe Pogue. Interment to follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to Cozean Memorial Chapel to assist with funeral expenses.
