Jeffrey Lynn Johnson

FARMINGTON Jeffrey "Jeff" L. Johnson, of Farmington passed away January 27, 2021 at Parkland Hospital in Farmington at the age of 46. He was born September 29, 1974 in Farmington to Dwayne Johnson and Carol (Montgomery) Johnson. Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Carl and Fran Johnson and Jim and Geneva Montgomery. Survivors include his parents, Dwayne (Carmen) Johnson and Carol Johnson; his children, Gage and Brynn Johnson; one brother Jason (Nathan) Williams and one sister, Stefanie (Caleb) Owens; two nephews, Chase and Maxen Owens; one niece, Rachel Owens; special cousins, Alan Hale, Jon Mosier and Eric Burlbaw; as well as extended family and many friends. Jeff was an avid hunter and fisherman. He was a high school stand-out baseball and basketball player. After high school he was a pitcher for Mineral Area College. Jeff worked many years for Mark Savage as a electrician where his trade served him well in this life. He was a fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and most of all a fan of Willie McGee. He will be missed by family and friends but most of all his children, who promise to honor his life by hard work, perseverance, success and faith in Jesus. There will be a memorial gathering on Friday, February 5, 2021 at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Mike Harrison officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials in Jeff's honor to Mineral Area College Baseeball where Gage is currently a member of the team, or to Farmington Knights girls basketball where Brynn, as a freshman, is playing JV and varsity basketball.
