Jeanie Bell Haile

August 18, 1933 — April 16, 2012

Jeanie Bell Haile of Park Hills passed away on Monday, April 16, 2012, at the age of 78 years. She was born on August 18, 1933, at Wortham, daughter of the late Steve Earl and Ollie Mae (Thorton) Dunlap. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Forrest E. "Bud" Haile in 2007; her son-in-law, Henry Haggard; three sisters and a brother. Jeanie grew up in Wortham and went to Frankclay School. She met and married the love of her life, Bud Haile on November 10, 1952. Bud's career in the U. S. Air Force took them all over the world. Upon Bud's retirement they moved back to Park H ills and Jeanie went to work at the State Hospital. In 1995 she retired and spent her time spoiling her granchildren and great-grandchildren. Her membership in the Park Hills First Assembly of God was a very important part of her life. She also enjoyed working puzzles and was an avid viewer of Jeopardy. Survivors include her children, Connie Moon and her husband, Mike Moon of Ste. Genevieve, Janet Haggard of Farmington and Carol Crocker and her husband, Ralph Burnell Crocker, Jr. of Park Hills; five grandchildren, Michael Keith Moon, Jr. and wife, Nitika, Joe Haggard and wife, Amanda, Douglas Moon and wife, Kristen, Rachel Crocker and Devin Crocker; eleven great-grandchildren; a brother, Tom Dunlap of the state of Hawaii; a sister-in-law, Ruby Haile of the state of Georgia; special friends, Norma Moon, Naomi Gibbs, Naomi Boyer and Wilma Crocker. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and many good friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Thursday, April 19 from 5 to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume Friday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the beginning of the funeral service at 1 p.m. with Pastor Edward Bennett officiating. Interment will follow in the Adams Cemetery at Frankclay. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to the Park Hills First Assembly of God.
