Janis E. Kondrad

August 31, 1944 — March 17, 2023

FARMINGTON Janis E. Kondrad entered into Heaven on March 17, 2023 at 5:30 a.m. surrounded by her loving family in Gods presence. She was born in St. Louis on August 31, 1944 to the late Willard McWilliams and Clara (Pavlick) McWilliams. Janis spent her childhood living in Esther, Missouri where she graduated from high school in 1962. While cruising in her 57 Chevy she pulled up next to a young man in a Ford. Their eyes met and it was love at first sight. On April 25, 1964 she married that young man named Harry "Pete" Kondrad. Janis was a conscientious employee who worked throughout the years for S & T Home Furnishings as office manager, Mineral Area Office Supply as bookkeeper and at Trimfoot as an executive secretary. She was a talented artist who enjoyed painting and sculpting; and an exceptional cook whose specialty was biscuits and gravy. She went all-out preparing memorable holiday dinners for her family. In addition, some of her favorite pastimes were fishing, traveling and redecorating her home, however, spending quality time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren was by far her favorite thing to do. Janis was in her element when she was sitting on the deck with a cup of coffee watching the sunrise and the deer. She was a true Jesus loving Christian. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Pete; her daughter, Karen Gann; a brother, Bruce McWilliams and his wife, Sharon who was like a sister to Janis; two grandchildren, Joshua Gann and wife, Hannah and Kinsley Nye and husband, Holden; great grandchildren, Harry Gann and Baker Nye; a niece, Jennifer (Travis) Foshee; great niece, Emma Foshee and great nephew, Dawson Foshee; former son-in-law and father of her grandchildren, Don Gann; and her loving canine companion, Kassie. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, March 20, 2023 beginning at 11 a.m. followed by the funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Ron Hampton officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials in lieu of flowers may be made to the ASPCA or Preferred Hospice. The family suggests that those in attendance wear Janis favorite color, pink. View the tribute video and share your condolences at cozeanfuneralhome.com.
