Janice Matilda Rider

FARMINGTON Janice Matilda Rider of Farmington, passed on to her heavenly home on January 25, 2023, at Mercy Hospital in St. Louis at the age of 70. She was born in Bonne Terre, Missouri on February 14, 1952. She was preceded in death by her mother, Ruth Ann (Richardson) Harper; her dad, Chuck Harper; biological father, Paul Rider; brothers, Paul (Tinsley) Rider and Richard Harper; a sister, Melinda Harper Perry; her daughter, Jamie Ann and nephews, David Olive and Jacob Olive. Survivors include her children, a son Christopher (Cheryl) Guthrie and daughter, Natalie Akers (Brian) Hurst; grandchildren, Miranda, Madilyn, Nathaniel, Ruby, Nick, Cole (Shelby) and Riley (Dillon); sisters, Nancy Rider (Randy) Waggoner, Debbie Rider (Kenny) Miniex, Charlet Harper (Albert) Chenoweth, Sharon Harper, Cheryl Harper (Kenny) Olive and a brother, Robert Harper; twenty five nieces and nephews; 45 great nieces and nephews and many others who loved her called her Aunt Jan. She also had many cousins. Jan loved the Lord with all her heart and shared His love with many throughout her life. There will be a memorial gathering for friends and family beginning at 2 p.m. Sunday, January 29, 2023, at the Bridge Church followed by a memorial service at 3 p.m. Memorials, if desired, may be made in Janices name to Billys Way Home, 7127 West Sherri Jean Lane, Peoria, AZ 85382.
