Janice Lane "Sug" Huffman

Janice Lane "Shug" Huffman of Farmington passed away on August 1, 2006, at her residence at the age of 67 years. She was born on February 5, 1939, at Womack, the daughter of the late Fred and Retta (Harris) Payne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Huffman, and by a brother, Fred Payne. Mrs. Huffman attended the Desloge First Church of God. At one time she had been active as a member of the 4H Club. She is survived by two sons, Mike and wife Patti Huffman of Farmington, and Stanley and wife Betty Huffman of Fredericktown; two daughters, Licia (Mrs. Randy) Pirtle and Mary (Mrs. Jerry) Hendrix, all of Farmington; by two brothers, Ronnie and wife Sue Payne, Bill and wife Kim Payne, all of Farmington; by three sisters, Gail Huffman of St. Louis, Joyce ( Herb) Reagan of Desloge, and Sandra (Mrs. Sonny) Wells of Bonne Terre; half-brother, Harry Blevins and wife, Opal of St. Louis, sister-in-law, Ruth Payne of Doe Run; by ten grandchildren and four great-grandchildren, and by several nieces, nephews, and many friends. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, August 5. Visitation will resume on Sunday at 7:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday at the Cozean Chapel, with Pastor Jimmy Muse officiating. Burial will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
