Janet Marie Wells

Janet Marie Wells of Farmington passed away suddenly at her home on Monday, October 31, 2011 at the age of 48 years. She was born June 23, 1963, at Carthage, daughter of Marjorie F. (Ziler) and Jerry R. Burkey. Janet was a faithful and active member of New Heights Church of Farmington. She was employed as a paraprofessional for the Farmington R-7 School District, and was preparing to start a new position with Criminal Justice Services. Janet will be greatly missed by all who loved her and that includes her husband, Alan Wells, her parents, Jerry and Margie Burkey of Carthage, MO, two daughters, Elizabeth and Peyton Galt, both of Farmington, a brother, Mark Burkey (Rhonda) and two nieces, Alyssa and Audrey Burkey, all of Broken Arrow, OK, a step-son, Adam Wells (Beth) of Farmington, and step-daughter, Amy Cisneros of Farmington, four step-grandchildren, Riley Cisneros, Sydney Cisneros, Addison Wells and Alyssa Wells, and mother-in-law, Doris Wells of Farmington. Janet's family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2011. Visitation will resume on Friday at the New Heights Church at 9 a.m. with a funeral service at 11a.m. with Pastor Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens.
