Janet Lea Pearce

FARMINGTON -Janet Lea Pearce, 68 of Farmington passed away January 27, 2015. She was born January 9, 1947 at Berkeley daughter of the late Russell D. and Thelma D.(McAllister) Pearce. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Keith E. Pearce. Janet attended school at the Missouri School for the Deaf at Fulton and Cosmetology School and later worked as a wig stylist for Famous and Barr. In her spare time she enjoyed dancing, hand crafts, making jewelry, reading and particularly enjoyed crocheting, having made over 300 afghans. She is survived by a brother Russell D. Pearce, Jr. of High Ridge and a sister Jeanie Stairs of Marquand, an aunt Phyllis Copeland of Eureka, five nephews, two nieces, ten great nieces, four great nephews and fifteen great-great nieces and nephews. She is also survived by her many friends at St. Francois Manor and New Horizons RCF. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at the Bailey Cemetery at Alton, Missouri.
