James William Jones of Farmington passed away on Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at the age of 91. He was born on December 22, 1921, at Farmington, son of the late Clarence William and May Irene (Morgan) Jones. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Doris (McCarver) Jones in 2010; an infant son, Jimmy Jones; four brothers, George, Harold, John and Clarence Jones; one sister, Eleanor Daniels; and one grandson, Buster Cisneros. James spent most of his childhood growing up in Caledonia. He worked on the family farm from a young age and went on to serve his country in the U. S. Army Air Corp during World War II. While in the military he served in Burma-India as an airplane engine mechanic. Upon his return to Missouri, he went to work as a postal carrier. After thirty years of service with the U. S. Postal Service he retired and enjoyed fishing and furniture refinishing. He enjoyed dealing in antiques and going to auctions. A dedicated family man, James will be most remembered for being a wonderful, loving husband and father. Survivors include his two children, Patty Jones and John Jones (Tootie), all of Farmington; two grandchildren, Justin Jones and Sgt. Dennis Cisneros; great grandchildren, Haylee and Hunter Jones and Riley, Sydney. Matthew and Nathan Cisneros; a sister, Gladys Alleane Sales (Jay); brother-in-law, Charles McCarver (Judy); sister-in-law, Evelyn Jones and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Friends may call Friday morning at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 9 until 10 a.m. with a funeral service to follow beginning at 10 in the Cozean Chapel. Interment will be at Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
