James "Smack" Faulkner

DOE RUN James Matthew "Smack" Faulkner of Doe Run passed away Thursday, May 4, 2017 at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis at the age of 61 years. He was born on August 13, 1955 in St. Louis son of the late James Eugene and Deorthea Laverna (Trascola) Faulkner. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother Joe Mash, and sister and brother-in-law Effie and Eric Williford.

Jim was a proud veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and a faithful member of the Farmington Church of the Nazarene.

He is survived by his wife Nancy Carol (Simmons) Faulkner, two sons Brandon Faulkner of Doe Run and James (& Kristie) Faulkner of St. Robert, two daughters Crystal (& Jed) Coons of Gravois Mills and Bethany (& Scott) Parolin of Park Hills, his step-mother Freda Faulkner of Bismarck, three sisters Karen Heaps, Venus Faulkner and Joann Faulkner, three brothers Dale Roark, Jesse Mash and Jay Faulkner, eight grandchildren: Dakota, Zebulin, Kylee, Carson, Khloe, Jasper, Jaxsen, and Alyssandra as well as numerous other relatives, dear friends and neighbors.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Monday, May 8, 2017 from 5-8 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 12 noon followed by a funeral service at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Art Menard officiating. Full military honors will follow at the funeral home. Interment will be conducted privately at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery.
