FARMINGTON - God called James "Jim" Ogden home on Monday, November 9, 2015 after a long battle with cancer. Jim was born on December 4, 1947 in Ste. Genevieve to the late Joseph Edward Ogden and Rose Alice (Fry) Ogden. In addition to his parents, Jim was preceded in death by three sisters and three brothers. Jim was a life long member of the Ste. Genevieve and Farmington communities and for many years owned and operated Oak Den Ranch on Highway OO. The youngest of 11, Jim was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Jim was the love of Mary Caroline Ogden's life, with whom he shared 35 years of marriage and endless laughs, tears, prayers and unforgettable memories. Jim was a father to 8, a grandfather to 34 and a great-grandfather to 28. Jim is also survived by four sisters and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family. Jim's 68 years were filled with life. He was a pillar of strength, compassion, and love until his very last breath. Jim will live on in the hearts of the people who knew and loved him. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, November 17, 2015 at Cozean Memorial Chapel at 1:00 p.m. with Father Rickey Valleroy officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given in Jim's name to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
