James Lee "Jimmy" Snider

James Lee Jimmy Snider of Terre Du Lac passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2010, at the age of 42 years, 6 months, and 9 days. He was born on February 8, 1968, at Ladman, MD, the son of Betty Kefauver and Lester Lee Snider and the late Betty Jo Snider. He was also preceded in death by a brother Billy Snider. Mr. Snider, who was employed as a tree trimmer with the Herrington Tree Service, enjoyed his job and took great pride in his work. He was a member of the Genevieve Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, spending time with his dogs Happy & Willie, hiking, outdoor activities, and being with his family. In addition to his father and his mother, James is survived by a son, James Lee (Lynn) Snider of Park Hills, daughter, Kayla Michelle (Justin) Snider of Farmington, grandson, Evan Michael Snider of the home, his girlfriend, Danyell Pitzer of Terre Du Lac, brothers, Dennis (Janet) Portell of Farmington, Michael Kafauver of the state of Florida, five sisters, Billie (Bucky) Benson of Farmington, Christy (Joe) Sturgeon of Desloge, Sherry Bayless of Ocala, FL, Kim (Victor) Maggi and Missy Jones, all of the State of Maryland. Also surviving are his children's mother Chastidy Snider and special friends, Greg and Brenda Armstrong and Pug, Jo and Gina Herrington. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Friday, August 20, 2010. Visitation will resume on Saturday from 7 until 10 a.m. A graveside service will follow at 10:30 a.m. at the Genevieve Baptist Church Cemetery in Ste. Genevieve County.
