James Edward Corssen, Jr.

DOE RUN James Edward "Pops" Corssen, Jr., passed away August 31, 2017 at his residence at the age of 72. He was born on August 27, 1945 in St. Louis to the late James Edward, Sr. and Blanch (Galyean) Corssen. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Don Corssen and a sister, Shirley Crosby.

James was an entrepreneur, having owned various businesses such as a dive shop, mobile welding, recycling, construction business, auto repair and a plumbing business. He was a licenced master plumber. You name it, he did it! He prided himself in being able to work for himself. James had a good heart and loved to give people second chances, if you were willing to work, he'd give it to you.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years, Wilma "Lee" Corssen; his children, Jane (Rick) Vance, James E. Corssen, III, Wanda Letterman, William "Bill" Corssen, Jennifer Corssen (Brian Zelt), Wendy Corssen, Jason Corssen (Sara Bender), Mark Bub and Dylan Hampton; grandchildren Kellee Wisdom, Joey Letterman, Christopher Vance, Katy Vance, Dillon Corssen, Ashleigh Corssen, Mike Corssen, Scotty Quinton, III, Jaycen, Wilma and Brilee Zelt and Baylee Corssen; great-grandchildren, Kaidence Wisdom, John Dale Wisdom, Calista Vance and Adiline Corssen; and his brother-in-law, Mike Erchien.
