FARMINGTON James A. "Butch" Ratcliff Jr., of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on January 18, 2023, at the age of 78. He was born on September 5, 1944, in Ironton, to the late James Alfred Ratcliff Sr. and Mary (Jones) Ratcliff. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Stan Ketcherside, his nephew, Dylan Woods, and his sister-in-law, Alice Woods. Butch is survived by his loving wife of 55 years, Katherine (Woods) Ratcliff, his children, Julie Ketcherside and James A. Ratcliff III, two grandchildren, Stanton (Krissie) Ketcherside and Lucy Ratcliff, two brothers, a sister, nieces, nephews, and many other extended family members and friends. Butch proudly served his country as a United States Army veteran and was a member of the American Legion Post #416. He enjoyed hunting and loved his family and especially adored his grandchildren. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed. A visitation will be held on Friday, January 20, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until time of service at 7:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel with Pastor Edward McClain officiating.
