Jacqueline Marie Byington

FREDERICKTOWN – Jacqueline “Jackie” Marie Byington, of Fredericktown, formerly of Farmington, entered eternal rest on February 25, 2025, at her home at the age of 62. She was born on July 13, 1962, in Lavornia, Italy to Albert “Joe” and Nova “June” (Francis) Henderson. 

Jackie is survived by her children, Cody (Tonya) Royer of Fredericktown, Justin Royer of Farmington, and Kaycee (Randy Jr.) Grogan of Farmington, her stepchildren, Amanda (Joe) Tice of Georgia and Laura Beth (Jason) Grindstaff of Farmington, fifteen grandchildren, a great grandson, her siblings, Albert “Joey” (Patty) Henderson Jr. of Fredericktown, Charles “Donnie” (Mizette) Henderson of Okinawa, Japan, Janie (Gary) Royer of Fredericktown, and Scotty Henderson of Fredericktown, many nieces, nephews, friends, and her special canine companion, Wayno. 

Jackie was preceded in death by her parents, Albert “Joe” and Nova “June” Henderson, her husband, Wayne Byington, and her nephew, Josh Royer. 

Jackie attained her associate’s degree in criminal justice at Mineral Area College. She worked as a seamstress for many years for Brown Shoe Company and Craftwell and Dunnright and was also a waitress at the Plank Road Inn. She was a lifetime member of the VFW Post 5896 of Farmington. Throughout the years, Jackie enjoyed going to the river, collecting rocks and arrowheads, fishing, camping, cooking, and baking. Jackie will be remembered as being fun loving and always having a smile on her face!  

An open house celebration of Jackie’s life will be held on Saturday, March 1, 2025, from 3:00pm-8:00pm at VFW Post 5896, 814 East Karsch Blvd, Farmington, MO. Catered food and beverages will be provided. Memorial donations, if desired, may be made to VFW Post 5896 to be used for the many charitable causes they do throughout the year.
