Jack Gray

October 10, 1934 — February 25, 2013

Jackie "Jack" Dale Gray, 78, of Farmington passed away at home on Monday, February 25, 2013 surrounded by his family. He was born in St. Louis on October 10, 1934, the son of the late Hillard Jasper and Else Mae (Gregory) Gray. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a daughter, Kelly Lea Gray. Jack was a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington. He was a nursing home entrepreneur most of his adult life with Thomas Dell Memorial Home and Maehill Care Center. He also was a farmer, musician, painter and woodworker who had many hobbies and interests. Jack loved God and his Savior, Jesus Christ. He was so thankful that Jesus' blood had washed his sins away. He loved his family. He was a great husband and father, and we will dearly miss him until we meet again in our Heavenly home. Survivors include his wife, Laura "Diane" (Hill) Gray whom he was united in marriage to on December 2, 1969. Other survivors include five children: Keith Dale Gray (Jennifer) of Farmington; Bradley Gale Gray (Kristie) of Potosi; Tara Jacquelyn Gray of Orlando, Fla.; David Bryan Gray and Moriah Cheyene Gray, both of Farmington; six grandchildren: Michael, Sarah, Aaron, Dustin, Emilie and Kyra; a sister, Vera Jo (Dennie) Currington, and a brother, William "Billy" Darrell Gray, both of Farmington. Jack also is survived by nephews Doug and Todd Currington and many dear cousins and friends. Visitation is scheduledfrom 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, March 1, 2013 at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. Visitation will resume Saturday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church in Farmington with Dr. William C. Miller officiating. Memorials may be given to First Baptist Church of Farmington or to the donor's choice. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens in Farmington.
