Jack Dunning

Jack Dunning, 72 of Farmington, departed this life on June 29, 2014. He was born May 15, 1942 in Chicago, Illinois to the late Jack Dunning, Sr. and Claire (Caletti) Dunning. Jack graduated from St. Louis College of Pharmacy in 1963. He and his wife, Barbara, opened Medicate Pharmacy in 1967 which grew into a very successful local business. He will be remembered as an extremely personable and knowledgeable man who never met a stranger. He enjoyed life to the fullest and fought a very courageous battle with cancer for many years. Survivors include his wife, Barbara Dunning, a daughter, Suzanne Castro and a son, Drew Dunning; four grandchildren, Siera, Dante, Andres and Isabella Castro, all of Farmington; one brother, Eugene Dunning of the state of Tennessee; and a host of extended relatives and friends. A celebration of life will be held Saturday, July 5 from 5 - 8 p.m. at St. Francois Country Club. The family welcomes all his friends and family to join them in celebrating Jack's life and remembering the good times. The family requests that any memorial donations may be made to the Farmington Library Fund or the Dunning, Oliver, Hulsey Scholarship Fund at St. Louis College of Pharmacy.
