Jack "Butch" Martin

Jack Dewayne Butch Martin of Doe Run passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2007 at his residence at the age of 40 years. He was born on January 13, 1966, at Fredericktown, the son of Lillie (Wright) Martin and the late V. Jack Martin. Butch was a 1984 graduate of Farmington High School and was a member of the 1982 MO State High School Baseball Champions. He later went on to join the U. S. Navy where he worked as a sonar tech. He liked sports activities, enjoyed watching movies and gardening. He is survived by his mother, Lillie Martin of Doe Run, brother Robert (Theresa) Martin, and sister Brenda (Donny) Nicholson of Bonne Terre. Numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends also survive. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 9 p.m. on Friday, January 5, 2007. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Memorials to the family may be directed to Cozean Memorial Chapel.
