Jack Allen Little

FARMINGTON Jack Little, of Farmington, passed away at his home on August 29, 2023, at the age of 76. He was born on November 6, 1946, in Belleville, Illinois to the late John and Jackie (Stage) Little. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Brad Little. Jack is survived by his wife, Linda (Depper) Little, his stepdaughters, Robyn (Josh) Nagel of Farmington and Denise (Matthew) Pultz of Farmington, his grandchildren, Katelyn (Logan) Winder, Madelynn (Joe) Perkins, and Olivia Pultz, his great grandchildren, Nolan Winder and Zoey Perkins, his sister, Tanya (Gordon) Magnus of Rowlett, TX, his aunt and uncle, Annie and Darrell Guerin of Lynn, AR, his niece, Taylor (Jonathan) Williams of Bella Vista, AR, his sister-in-law, Mary (Ronald) Hale, his brother-in-law, John (Ruth) Depper, along with many friends. Jack was a 1964 Farmington High School graduate and a 1973 Mineral Area College nursing graduate. Twice on active duty with the United States Air Force, his last assignment was as a medical service officer specializing in mental health services. In addition to decorations for service in both Southeast Asia (Vietnam War) and Southwest Asia (Gulf War), he was awarded an Air Force Commendation medal for his actions during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. As a civilian RN, he had worked in Med-Surg, ER, CCU, SICU, Psych, Geriatrics, and lastly, developmental disabilities (MR-DD). He had served briefly as a state director with the Missouri Nurses Association until a second heart attack necessitated his resignation. Prior to his final and full retirement in late 2014, he had earned graduate degrees in Psychology and Human Resources Management as well as certification as a CNA Instructor/Examiner and licensure as a Nursing Home Administrator. To remember him: go out for a delicious meal, eat a sinfully fattening dessert, drink 1 2 really good drinks, and be grateful to God that youre able to do this.especially if someone else is paying for the food and drinks! A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, August 31, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel.
