Jack A. Johnson

BARNHART At 5:00 p.m. on September 24, 2017 Jackie Anton Johnson left this world to be with the Lord. At his moment of departure he was surrounded by his loving family. His presence in this world will be missed by his wife, Maydean (Huitt) Johnson; his daughter, Marilyn "Susie" Nanney, along with his son-in-law, Steve Nanney; and his son, Jack Johnson, Jr. Jack also leaves behind his sister, Betty (Johnson) Hull and husband, Stanley, brother, Sonny Johnson and wife Ruby, sister, Bonnie (Johnson) Pritchett and husband, Fred; brother, Dick Johnson and wife, Donna, brother, Gary Johnson, and sister, Brenda Harris and husband, Bradley and many nieces and nephews. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, Howard Eugene and Margaret Marie (Will) Johnson; two brothers, infant, Kenny Johnson, Jerry Johnson and sister-in-law, Vicki Johnson.

Jack proudly served his country in the U. S. Navy during the Vietnam War. He lived in the Arnold and Barnhart area for many years. He retired from K-Mart after over thirty years of employment there. In his spare time he enjoyed camping and fishing. He will be remembered for his great sense of humor and for always being the life of the party.

Friends and family may visit Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. on Wednesday, September 27. Visitation will resume at noon on Thursday followed by the funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Fred Pritchett officiating. Interment will be at Pendleton Cemetery in Doe Run.
