Irma Wilhemina Tetley

Irma W. Tetley passed away at Presbyterian Manor on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the age of 102 years, 9 months, and 28 days. She was born on June 17, 1909, at Carlyle, IL, daughter of the late Otto and Clara (Schlueter) Brunsmann. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Howard C. Tetley, brother, Roy Brunsmann, and nephew, Eric Brunsmann. Irma was for many years an ardent and active member of the Farmington Christian Church Disciples of Christ, and a member of The Eastern Star for more than 50 years. On February 28, 1940, she was married to Howard Tetley, and together they operated the Tetley Jewelry Store in Farmington for 31 years. In her spare time Irma enjoyed playing bridge and was a member of several different bridge clubs throughout the years. Irma is survived by two nieces, Cathy and husband John Yates of Belleville, IL, and Ann Boxdorfer Ramsey and husband Tom of Farmington, a brother-in-law, Donald Cheesebrough of Farmington, numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory from 10 a.m. to 11a.m. on Monday, April 16, 2012. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel with the Rev. Dale Berck officiating. Interment will be at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Farmington Christian Church Disciples of Christ.
