FARMINGTON Irene Lucille White, of Farmington, entered eternal rest on April 10, 2024, at her home at the age of 83. She was born on November 11, 1940, in Farmington, Missouri, to the late Charles W. and Hazel I. (Clark) Hurst. Irene is survived by her children, Ed (Linda) White, Tom (Laurie) White, and Mary Gaston; her grandchildren, Audrey Canuteson, Aaron Tuck, Jack Bowman Jr., John Bowman II, Victoria (Jason) Park, Tiffany (Ben) Fleming, Kimberly Gaston, Joseph (Karen) Romanko, Allison Gaston, and David Gaston; her sisters, Beatrice Moran, Frieda Cook, and Donna Comstock; and her sisters-in-law, Viola Hurst and Ruby Hurst. Irene is also survived by several great grandchildren, great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends. Irene is preceded in death by her parents; her daughter, Janet Lee Dobbs; and her siblings, Rosemary White, Paul Hurst, Harry Hurst, John Hurst, Donald Hurst, Carl Hurst, Roy Hurst, and Sharon Hurst. Irene retired from the Southeast Missouri Department of Mental Health after more than 20 years of service. She attended the First Baptist Church of Farmington until her health declined and she started attending the services virtually. She will be fondly remembered and dearly missed.
