DESLOGE - Imogene Luetta Martin of Desloge passed away peacefully Friday, January 3, 2014 at her residence at the age of 81 years. She was born November 11, 1932 in St. Francois County, daughter of the late Walter J. and Margaret (Lovvorn) Lacey. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Roy Lee Martin, Sr., three sisters, Helen Lacey, Theresa Howell and Barbara Hampton, and three brothers, Stanley Lacey , Starling Lacey and Rev. Jay Lacey. Imogene was a member of the First Baptist Church Church of Doe run. She retired from Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center where she had worked in housekeeping for over thirty years. In her spare time she enjoyed tending her flower gardens and feeding and watching birds and spending time with her family. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her, including her seven children, Carol (& Elmer) Watson of Arnold, Jeannie (& Sam) Weible of Bonne Terre, Roy Lee Martin, Jr. (& Ginger) of Barnhart, Terry Martin of Desloge, Mark Martin, Sr. of Farmington, Sharon Stephens of Desloge and Deborah (& Allen) Murray of Desloge; 12 grandchildren: Gary Barnhouse, Lynn Barnhouse, Amy La Marr, Melony Howell, Michael Watson, Molly Martin, Megan Martin, Phillip Martin, Josh Taylor, Mark Martin, Jr., Tayler Stephens and Layne Murray, 12 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great grandchildren, a brother Robert (& Ruth) Lacey of Farmington, two sisters, Maude (& Norman) Barnhouse of Doe Run, and Shirley Starnes of Farmington, sister-in-laws , Elvie Lacey of Doe Run, Madonna Arcand of Bonne Terre, and Betty Martin of St. Louis, a brother-in-law, Jerrell (& Shirley) Martin of Doe Run and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory on Tuesday, January 7, 2014 from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a Remembrance Service at 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Wednesday in the Cozean Chapel with the Reverend Keith Huffman officiating. Interment will be at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Doe Run.
