Herbert 'Pete' Lewis Cummings

ARNOLD Herbert "Pete" Lewis Cummings, of Arnold, entered into eternal rest on September 9, 2021, at his residence at the age of 68. He was born on February 17, 1953, in St. Louis, Missouri to the late Herbert and Ilene (Camden) Cummings Cox. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Claud "Corky" Cummings and his sisters, Helen Lucks and Peggy Cummings. Pete is survived by his daughter, Kelly Cummings of Flamingo, TX, his sister, Jacqueline "Jackie" Briscoe of Arnold, MO, along with several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Pete was an ironworker and a member of Ironworkers Local 444 in Joliet, Illinois. He was a former owner of CCC Iron Erectors in Mokena, Illinois. He was a lifetime member of the Joliet Harley Davidson Chapter. He enjoyed scuba diving, riding horses, and was a licensed pilot. He was a fun loving guy who loved life. Pete will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, at 2:00pm at Knob Lick Cemetery.
