Herbert Leroy Maxey, Iii

FREDERICKTOWN Herbert Leroy Maxey III, of Fredericktown passed away October 27, 2016 at his residence at the age of 73. He was born October 16, 1943 in St. Louis to the late Herbert Leroy Maxey, Jr. and Dorothy Amma (Jones) Maxey. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two grandsons, Brandon and Charles Kindlesparger and a brother, George Maxey.

A veteran of the United States Army, Herbert, worked in the overhead door installation business. He was an avid outdoorsman who loved fishing and camping with his family. Herbert also enjoyed gardening.

Survivors include his wife of thirty years, Tina L. (Brooks) Maxey; his children, Michael (Jessica) Hoid of Farmington, Jesse (Natasha) Maxey of Fredericktown, Andrew Maxey of Fredericktown, Timothy Maxey of Warrenton and Tina (James) Maxey Shaw of Columbia, IL; numerous beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three sisters Rose Marie, Bonnie and Cynthia all of Springfield, Illinois and a number of nieces, nephews and extended family members.

Friends and family may call on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5 8 p.m. Visitation will resume Wednesday morning beginning at 7 a.m. until the service beginning at 10 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
