Herbert "Herbie" Lee Biri

Herbert "Herbie" Lee Biri of Farmington and formerly of Potosi passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2011, at the age of 63 years. He was born on January 5, 1948, in Avon, son of Loretta Ileen (Cash) Biri and the late Charles Henry Biri. Herb was a 1966 graduate of Farmington High School. He owned Biri's Auto Repair in Potosi for many years. He enjoyed drag racing and building and driving hot rods but his passion was cattle farming. A regular at local cattle sales, Herb also was a great supporter of 4-H Clubs. He was a member of Midwest Street Rodders, Farmington Elks Lodge and a faithful member of Pine Log Baptist Church. In his spare time he enjoyed Country dancing, camping and going hunting and fishing. Survivors include his mother, Loretta Ileen Biri, daughters, Renee Dawn Politte, Dana Ileen (Mrs. Tony) Partney, and Lisa Marie (Mrs. Louie) Bigham; two brothers, Raymond Biri and wife Wilma and Darrell Biri and wife Sharon; his fiance, Sherill Compton; six grandchildren, Shanay and Daniel Politte, Sarah (Mrs. Scotty) Bourbon and Charlie Partney, Ryan Elders and his fiance Sarah Schmidt and Michaela Bigham; two great-granddaughters, Peyton Bourbon and Cadence Elders; special friend, Marla Wilcox and a host of nieces, nephews and friends A visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 2 to 6 p.m. on Sunday, October 2 followed by a funeral service at 6 p.m. with the Rev.
