Helga Ellen Ward

FARMINGTON - Helga Ellen Ward, of Farmington, passed away on February 1, 2020 at Mercy Hospital Jefferson at the age of 78. She was born on August 23, 1941 in Hanover, Germany to the late Alfred and Berta (Gross) Hausmann. Helga lived in Germany as a young girl during the war in which her brother and father lost their lives as soldiers. At the age of 18, her mother passed away and she then came to the United States to live with her aunt and uncle. She formerly worked as an international teller at First National Bank in St. Louis and in various positions at Southwestern Bell Telephone Company . She dearly loved her canine companions and feline friends. Helga will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved her. She is survived by her caretaker and friend, Helen Brawley along with many other family members, neighbors and friends. Per her request, there will be no formal services and her wishes were to be cremated.
