Helen Marie Earley

FARMINGTON- Helen Marie Earley of Farmington passed away Thursday, September 26, 2013 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing Center at the age of 84. She was born March 18, 1929 at Flat River daughter of the late Cloid and Irene (Hutchings) Fahnestock. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Walter A. Earley, son Melvin Kipling Lewis, and a brother Donald Fahnestock. Before retirement Helen worked for the Mehlville School District as a school teacher. On March 8, 1975 she and Walter were married at the Southwest Church of the Nazarene in St. Louis County. Following retirement they made their home in Farmington where Helen became an active Member of the Farmington First Church of the Nazarene, serving as a church board member and a Sunday school teacher. Walter preceded her in death on February 27, 1995. Helen's greatest joy was spending time with her family, church, and friends. She will be missed by all those who knew and loved her including her sister Anita Komosny of Ballwin, a nephew, numerous nieces, her church family, and many dear friends and neighbors. Friends may call from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Sunday, September 29, 2013 at the Cozean Memorial Chapel & Crematory. A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday at the Farmington First Church of the Nazarene with the Reverends Art Menard and Mel Skeen officiating. Interment services will be held Monday at 2:30 p.m. at the Park Lawn Cemetery in St. Louis.
