Helen J. Wright

Helen J. Wright of Farmington passed from this life and into her Fathers arms on July 27, 2009 at 86 years of age. She was born on January 15, 1923, in Flat River, daughter of the late Frederick Hamblin and Alvah (Beck) Hamblin. She was also preceded in death by brothers, Burl, Allen and Byron Hamblin, a daughter, Georgia Geraldine Kelso and a grandson, Bradley Casey. Helen was united in marriage to George B. Wright on November 18, 1940. She was previously employed as a dietician at MARMC. Upon retirement in 1986, she and her husband of 69 years relocated to Bradenton, FL. They resided in Florida until returning to Farmington in 1998. She was a resident of Community Manor and a member of First Baptist Church of Farmington. She is survived by her husband, George Wright, children, Sandra (Errol) Carron of Park Hills, Gene (Karen) Wright of Pevely, Gaile (Alice) Wright and Ginger Boyd of Farmington, 14 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and special friends. The family will receive friends at Cozean Memorial Chapel, 5 to 9 p.m., Thursday, July 30, 2009. Visitation will resume at 7 a.m. on Friday with a funeral service at 11 a.m. with Dr. William Miller officiating. Burial will be at Doe Run Memorial Cemetery.
