Helen Ethel Govro of Farmington passed away Friday, March 26, 2010, at Mineral Area Regional Medical Center, at the age of 82 years. She was born on March 21, 1928, at Esther, daughter of the late Adolf Delbert and Bertha (Loughary) Crabdree. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil Crabdree and Carl Crabdree, and by three sisters, Evelyn Richardson, Delbertha Chilton, and Pauline Callahan, a grandson, Darron Govro, and a granddaughter, Kari Govro. Mrs. Govro was the co-owner and operator of the Copper Bell for over a decade. She was a member of the Farmington VFW Ladies Auxiliary. She is survived by her significant other, Jim McMillen of Farmington, three sons, Larry (Gale) Govro of Kansas City, Bill (Linda) Govro and Kevin (Tracy) Govro, all of Farmington, six grandchildren, Tracy (Alex) Caskey, David (Kortney) Govro, all of Peculiar, MO, Kristi (Keith) Pierce, Kassie Govro, Morgan Govro, and MacKenzie Govro all of Farmington, and eight great-grandchildren. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday, March 29, 2010. A VFW Ladies Auxiliary will hold a service at 6:30 p.m. Visitation will resume on Tuesday at 7 a.m. with a funeral service at 10:30 a.m. with the Rev. Francis Roberts officiating. Interment will be at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to either the American Heart or American Diabetes Associations.
