PERRYVILLE - Heather Dawn Blakely-Johnson, of Perryville, entered eternal rest on March 20, 2025, at Riverview at the Park Nursing Center in Ste. Genevieve at the age of 61. She was born on December 6, 1963, in Douglastown, New Brunswick, Canada, to the late Byron and Nadine (Travis) Blakely.
Heather is survived by the father of her children, Schuyler Johnson; her children, Mikaela Johnson and Logan Johnson; her brothers, Elmer (Judy) Blakely, Guy (Debbie) Blakely, Wayne (Amy) Blakely, Gary Blakely, and Byron Blakely. She is also survived by her extended family, which includes several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins, whom she cherished many wonderful memories with. She was preceded in death by her parents, Byron and Nadine Blakely.
Heather proudly served her country for six years in the Canadian Navy, where she held the rank of Leading Seaman. Her time in the Navy reflected her strong sense of service, which she carried with her throughout her life. Heather was a member of the United Church of Canada, where she valued the friendships and support she found during her time there. In 1990, Heather moved to the United States, where she embraced her role as a homemaker. She dedicated her life to creating a loving home for her children, Mikaela and Logan Johnson, who brought her great pride and joy.
Heather found great pleasure in crafting and knitting, often dedicating her time to artistic pursuits that brought happiness both to herself and those she gifted her creations to.
Per Heather’s request, no formal services will be held. Inurnment will be at Saint Mark's United Church Cemetery in Miramichi, New Brunswick, Canada.
