Harold 'Jimmy' James Childers Jr.

PARK HILLS Harold James "Jimmy" Childers Jr., of Park Hills, entered into eternal rest on May 13, 2022, at Missouri Baptist Medical Center at the age of 56. He was born on April 11, 1966, in Farmington to Karen (Jones) Atkins and the late Harold James Childers Sr. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Harvey and Eileen Childers and Jesse and Edna Jones, his uncle, Stoney Camden, and his cousins, Stoney Camden II and Stoney Camden III. Jimmy is survived by his daughter, Brittany (husband, Blake) Robison of Leadwood, his mother, Karen (Jones) Atkins of Desloge, his grandsons, Levi Robison and Eli Robison, his sisters, Christine (husband, Geoff) Herrington of Farmington and Stacey (husband, Steve) Teeple of Dora, his girlfriend, Angie Pettis Rokiski of Park Hills, his niece, Marissa Sifford, his nephew, Braden Herrington, his aunt, Sherry Camden of Loxley, AL, his best friend, Jerry Arnold of Wappapello, along with many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Jimmy proudly served his country as a veteran of the United States Army. He enjoyed volunteering at the VA Medical Center in Columbia in the recreation department. He was formerly employed as a laborer at AB Contracting. He also worked as a corrections officer at the Farmington and Potosi Correctional Center and in security at Southeast Missouri Mental Health Center. He was most recently employed in maintenance at the Eugene Fields Apartments. Jimmy was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hiking, fishing, deer hunting, and hunting for arrowheads. He loved the St. Louis Blues and was an avid mega supporter for Donald Trump. He will be fondly remembered and dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, May 20, 2022, from 11:00am until time of service at 1:00pm at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Pastor Alan Berry.
