Harold Eugene Herbst

FARMINGTON - Harold Eugene Herbst of Farmington passed away at his residence on February 1, 2022 at the age of 85. He was born in Jackson, Missouri on January 8, 1937 to the late Albert Herbst and Esther Herbst. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Dorothy in 2017; a sister, Mary Esther Werner and a brother, Albert Herbst. Harold was a graduate of Jackson High School. He was employed for Paramount Liquor Sales for thirty five years. Playing golf was a favorite pastime and he loved spending time on the Black River. Harold was a very kind spirited man who spent a lot of time with his family and enjoyed spoiling his grandchildren. Survivors are his daughters, Debbie Cheek and Carla Mayberry; grandchildren, Tori (Cletus) Gowen, Dane Cheek, Steven Mayberry and Jesse Mayberry; two great grandchildren, Allie Gowen and Reese Gowen; and two special former sons-in-law, Dane Cheek and Steve Mayberry. Harold's family will have a private interment ceremony near his favorite locale on the Black River.
