Harold Crawford, Sr.

FARMINGTON - Harold E. Crawford, Sr., of Farmington passed away on August 17, 2015 at the age of 75. He was born on October 5, 1939 in St. Louis to the late Everette and Leona Crawford. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Geneva Jackson. Harold spent his growing up years in Lesterville where he attended school. At a very early age he went to work at a sawmill and hauled pallets to St. Louis. Later, he went on to be an owner/operator of his own trucking business. His health forced him into retirement but he still traveled over the road with his son. Harold will be remembered for his great sense of humor. He loved his grandchildren and had a special bond with them. Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Joan (Foerster) Crawford; a son, Harold E. Crawford, Jr. "Butch" and wife, Cecila; step-daughter, Susan LeSage; three grandchildren, Harold E. Crawford, III "Trey", Audrey Crawford and Corey Crawford; four sisters, Juanita Lombard, Joan Sutton, Jeannie Lynn Rosa and Peggy Crawford; two brothers, Joey Crawford and Dennis Crawford; and a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 21, at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5-7 p.m. with memorial services following at 7:00 p.m in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Donna Cooper officiating.
