Harold B. Oesterlei

FARMINGTON - Harold B. Oesterlei, of St. Louis, passed away August 30, 2018 at Southbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab at the age of 89. He was born In St. Louis to the late Henry Oesterlei and Rose (Dieterle) Oesterlei. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. Harold was a Construction Supervisor for Ameren UE for 42 years before his retirement. He was an Army veteran having proudly served during the Korean conflict. A member of the Elks Lodge, he also belonged to the Arnold Gun Club and the American Legion. Harold liked to fish, hunt and garden. Watching Westerns was a favorite pastime as well. He loved to travel, especially "out West". His family will fondly remember the many Christmases when he made his special candy. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Patricia "Pat" (Null) Oesterlei; his daughter, Cindy (Gary) Broccard; three granddaughters, Shannon (Ryan) Jones, Lauren (Jake) McClinton and Brittney Broccard; great grandchildren, Luke Jones, Claire Jones, Claudia Jones and Jackson McClinton. A graveside service will be scheduled at a later date at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials, if desired may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
