Grace "Millie" Gratton

Mrs. Grace Mildred Millie Gratton of Farmington passed away Saturday, December 20, 2008, at the Camelot Skilled Nursing & Rehab Center, at the age of 73 years. She was born on January 29, 1935 in St. Louis, the daughter of the late Edward Flinoy and Sylvia May (Jones) Findley. She was also preceded in death by two husbands, Dallas Brooks and Gairald Gratton, a brother Nathan Findley and a sister Ruth Mell. Mrs. Gratton was an active member of the Farmington VFW Post 5896 Ladies Auxiliary and a charter member of the Farmington Eagles Ladies Auxiliary. Before retirement, she was employed by the State of Missouri as a registered dietician at the Potosi Correctional Center. She is survived by a daughter, Londa Brooks and fianc Larry Bess, a granddaughter, Brooke Huitt and fianc Joe McDaniel, all of Doe Run, a grandson, John Huitt and fianc Kris Golden of Ironton, four brothers, Bill Findley and fianc Wanda Chronister of Beaufort, Bob Findley and wife Joyce of Louisiana, MO, Jesse Findley and wife Sue of Chesterfield, and George Findley of Poplar Bluff. She is also survived by special niece, Marla Wilcox and great nephew, Todd Umfleet, as well as many other relatives, friends and neighbors. She will be dearly missed by all of her family and friends. Friends may call at the Cozean Memorial Chapel on Monday, December 22, 2008 from 4 to 8 p.m. A VFW Ladies Auxiliary Service will be held at 6:30 p.m. Calling hours will resume at 7 a.m. on Tuesday with a funeral service at 1 p.m. with the Rev. James Lacey officiating. Interment will follow at Hillview Memorial Gardens. Memorials may be made to the Farmington VFW Post 5896 Ladies Auxiliary.
