Gleneal "Glen" Gifford Martin

August 18, 1934 — January 31, 2016

PARK HILLS Gleneal "Glen" Gifford Martin, of Park Hills passed away January 31, 2016 at St. Louis University Hospital at the age of 81. He was born in St. Louis on August 18, 1934 to the late Luther and Ruby (Berry) Martin. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by two children, Casey Martin in 2005 and Colby Martin in 2011; a brother, Larry Martin; three half- brothers, Lowell Martin, Buster Clemonds and Arthur Castile.

Glen proudly served his country during the Korean Conflict in the U. S. Marine Corp. Upon his return to civilian life he worked in the mining industry near Ellington and later went to work for the railroad. After many years with the railroad he retired and enjoyed working on cars, tinkering and camping.

Survivors include his daughter, Courtney Martin; his former wife, Beverly Jenkins; a daughter-in-law, Tarra Mahurin; five grandchildren, Megan Martin, Zachary Martin, Ivy Keesee; Lily Martin and Bridget Martin; a great-granddaughter, Harlow Martin; a sister, Carolyn Burris; a half-brother, Stuart Martin; and numerous other extended family and many friends.

Friends and family may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 5 8 p.m. on Thursday, Februaray 4, 2016. Visitation will resume on Friday beginning at 7 a.m. until the service at 1 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Reverend Matt Prihoda officiating.
