FARMINGTON - Glenda Grindstaff, 96, passed away November 20, 2014 at Camelot Nursing & Rehab. She was born August 25, 1918 in Patton to the late Arch Lee and Zelma Lee (Killian) Long. In addition to her parents Glenda was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Raymond Grindstaff in 1997; one grandson, Donald Nielsen and a great-granddaughter, Jessica Chapman. Glenda was a charter member of First Free Will Baptist Church of Farmington. She was employed at Trimfoot Manufacturing for many years, having retired after thirty seven years of service. Her passion was gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers. Her family will never forget the wonderful taste of her homemade dumplings. Time spent enjoying her grandchildren and great-grandchildren was her greatest joy. Survivors include her two daughters, Rosa Matkin and Joan (Mrs. Marvin) Chapman; a brother, David Long; seven grandchildren, Greg (Gale) Nielsen, Randy (Dana) Nielson, Tammy (Mrs. Bill) Mund, Chuck (Amy) Klempert, Terri (Mrs. Greg) George, Rick (Susie) Chapman and Brad (Teresa) Chapman; a granddaughter-in-law, Vickie Nielson; fourteen great grandchildren and five great-great grandchildren. Friends may call at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 10 - 11 a.m. Monday, November 24, 2014 until the service beginning at 11 a.m. in the Cozean Chapel with Pastor Roger Hogan officiating.
