FARMINGTON Gilbert "Gil" John Boushie Jr., of Farmington, entered into eternal rest on December 10, 2023, at the age of 71. He was born on November 25, 1952, in St. Louis, Missouri, to the late Gilbert John Boushie Sr. and Elizabeth (Reichart) Boushie. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Danny Joe Boushie, his brother-in-law, Leo Carosello, and his sister-in-law, Barb Boushie. Gil is survived by his wife of 23 years, Brenda (Pinkston) Boushie, his daughters, Lisa (Cory) Barnes of French Village, MO, Leslie (Aaron) Hickman of Carrier Mills, IL, and Sarah Boushie, his sons, Gilbert John (Tina) Boushie III of Hillsboro, MO and Ross Levi (Ivanna) Petty of Jacksonville, NC, his grandchildren, Seth Barnes, Cole Barnes, Kynslie Hickman, Lily Boushie, Louie Boushie, Aubrey Petty, Ayden Petty, and Amelia Petty, his siblings, Carol (Mark) Thurman of Farmington, MO, Mary Carosello of St. Louis, MO, David (Mary) Boushie of Hillsboro, MO, Dennis Boushie of Belgrade, MO, Donald (Bonnie) Boushie of Ste. Genevieve, MO, Pat (Danny) Jett of De Soto, MO, Jerry Boushie of Jacksonville, FL, Linda (John Smith) Boushie of Mapaville, MO, Joan (Richard) Lantz of Beach Island, SC, Shirley (Leonard) Layton of Salem, MO, and Betty Boushie of Pevely, MO, his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Violet and Tom Pinkston of Bonne Terre, MO, his sisters-in-law, Carla (Charlie) Martinez of Sandoval, IL, Charla (Jeff) Linderer of Manhattan, KS, and Cindy (Denny) Reese of Farmington, MO, along with many nieces, nephews, and friends. Gil proudly served as a veteran of the United States Army. He retired from Union Pacific Railroad after 20 plus years of employment. Gil was always up for that glass of wine! He also enjoyed tinkering and rebuilding things. He was a collector of trains and tractors and loved feeding the turkey and deer on his property. Gil loved his family dearly and adored Brenda and treated her like a queen. He will be fondly remembered and missed by all who knew and loved him. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 15, 2023, from 11:00 a.m. until time of service with military honors at 1:00 p.m. at Cozean Memorial Chapel officiated by Mark Thurman.
