Geraldine "Gerrie" Bowen

Geraldine Irene "Gerrie" Bowen of Farmington passed away on Wednesday, August 18, 2010, at Potosi Manor Inc., at the age of 78 years, 10 months, and 27 days. She was born on September 22, 1931, at Knob Lick, the daughter of the late Roby and Dulcie (Snyder) Walker. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two children, Iris Geraldine Newkirk and Kenneth Raymond Keith and two sisters, Gladys Floyd and Della Martin. A life long resident of the area, Gerrie retired from Trimfoot Shoe Company after 50 years. She enjoyed singing and playing guitar at church. In her spare time she made jewelry and was a floral arranger. She will be remembered by many as being an avid walker around Farmington. Survivors include two sons, Denny Keith and his wife, Mary and Arlin Keith and his wife, Sally; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of other family members and good friends. Visitation will be held at Cozean Memorial Chapel from 4 to 8 p.m. on Sunday, August 22. Visitation will resume Monday at 7 a.m. with a funeral service at 2 p.m. in the Cozean Chapel.
